- One place i can go to prepare myself for the location is to look at the weather and sde if it is good shooting weather when i want to go. I can also go to the website to learn about where to take the pictures.
- One app i can download to help me take better pictures is Photographer's Ephemeris.
- When you zoom or use a wide lense, to fill the frame with the distant subjects you need a long focal point. The background and foregfround will look very close together if you dont.
- Lightroom 6 is another options that helps you regain the highlight and shadow detail you lose in HDR processing.
- In case of bad weather, you should take extra clothes, a waterproof bag, and microfiber towels to dry off the camera.
- Pre scouting will help you have a perfect location, you will already know where you want to shoot and what you want to shoot.
- The subject is more important than the composition. It is what the picture is about, the composition is also very important but nature doesnt always follow it. If you only stick to composition, your picture will be very boring.
- One simple thing you can do is focus mainly on the subject and then add in details, but still have the main subject be the focus of the picture.
- Black and white is used a lot because it adds depth and helps the focus. It is comonly used when taking pictures of clouds as well. It is a twist on normal photos.
- You could shoot at locations you have already been to to use knowledge you gained from previous trips. You will save time by not having to scout the area, you will already know where to go and when to go.
